Ivan Filipchyk (b. 1991) is a multifaceted musician, composer, educator, and artist based in New York. Ivan was born in Belarus, where he studied music and visual arts. In 2015, he moved to New York after earning an MA in Music Performance and Education from the Gnesin Academy of Music in Moscow.

A versatile composer and virtuoso on accordion and piano, Ivan has received honors in international competitions and has performed on major concert stages in the USA, Japan, Canada, Italy, Ukraine, and Russia. His repertoire encompasses a wide range of musical styles, from transcriptions of classical music to works by contemporary composers and his own original compositions.

As a composer, arranger, and performer on accordion and piano, Ivan has participated in multiple music festivals, including Chamber Music on the Hudson, Hudson Valley New Music Festival, the Chamber Music Society of the Carolinas Festival, and Art Slope Festival in Brooklyn, NY. He has been involved in contemporary music projects with the acclaimed Talea Ensemble, as well as innovative nonprofit organizations including Opera on Tap and New Camerata Opera.

Ivan has collaborated with prominent musicians, including Hanzhi Wang, Inessa Zaretsky, Raman Ramakrishnan, Yves Dhar, Anna Elashvili, and Keve Wilson. Actively combining musical performance with his visual art, particularly oil painting, he creates unique, theme-based concert-exhibitions.
